1230 Entertainment welcomes Christy Gonzalez to the team.

Christy Gonzalez, 23, is the latest addition to 1230 Entertainment. Born and raised in Chicago, Gonzalez attended Wilbur Wright College, where her passion for our city's youth led to an education major. She brings a contagious, positive energy and a love of music to the 1230 team. Let's hear from her now.

Q) So, why 1230?

A) The answer to that question comes from a guy with a dream that one day he would start his own empire. That right there motivates me to not only help him with his dream but to also make mine come true. Having the chance to work and spread a positive message throughout the city is what I need to be a part of. Chicago gets a lot of negativity, and it's time to show the real beauty of it.

Q) What are your goals with 1230?

A) I strive to help the team and to learn and grow from the company. I want to learn new things and challenge myself to do the impossible and make it possible.

Q) What are the most important values for a company to have?

A) Every successful company needs effective communication, respect and honesty, but most importantly, you must have FUN! If you're doing something fun and you love it you'll never work a day in you're life.

Q) Who do you admire the most?

A) That would have to be my grandma. I don't know any 83-year-old that still gets up for work, takes the bus and doesn't complain about it. She always says, "there's nothing better in the world but to see a happy, smiling face in my chair and know that I did a good job. When my family's happy, I'm happy."

Q) What advice would you give a 12-year-old?

A) Eventually everything falls into place. Until then, laugh at the confusion, live for the moment and know that everything happens for a reason.
